Equipping Leaders
We imitate Deuteronomy 6:4 in that children learn to follow Christ most effectively by seeing it modeled by their parents. Therefore, we purposefully keep our kids close to us as we serve and worship. We also provide opportunities for families to serve together and endeavor to equip parents to model a God-filled life outside of the Church.
Empowering the Next Generation
We believe that the greatest measure of our success as a Church is that our children are actively serving Christ and preparing to pass the spiritual baton to the next generation. This means doing ministry with our children and mentoring them in the gospel.
Evangelizing the Lost
We want everyone to know what Jesus did when he died on the cross...and it is our joy to share the good news with those in our community and throughout the world.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Todd received a degree in Bible and Education from Washington Bible College, Lanham MD, in 1985 which is now a part of Lancaster Bible College. He also received a Master of Arts from Wheaton Graduate School, Wheaton IL, in 1987.
Todd and BJ were married in 1987 and have 8 children and 3 grandchildren. Todd served as Senior Pastor at First Alliance Church in Ft. Lauderdale FL from 1992-1995 before moving to Hagerstown Maryland in 1995 to begin a church plant. He served as Senior Pastor there for 25 years before answering the call to serve at New Hope House Church in Martinsburg, WV.
Todd is committed to teaching the scriptures, encouraging personal growth and individual study of the Word, supporting marriages and biblical family dynamics, guiding the next generation, and encouraging boldness to share faith with others. Outside of New Hope, Todd also serves in Kairos International Prison Ministry and has seen many men give their lives to Christ. He and BJ are also a part of Big Brother Big Sister--a mentorship program for kids 18 and under.

Whether you've been going to Church all your life and don't presently have a church home, or you just aren't sure what church is all about, we invite you and your family to join us. The atmosphere is casual, so don't worry about what to wear. Come and experience the body of Christ at New Hope!
Each week we begin at 10:30 AM with a time of worship. First through a mix of hymns and contemporary worship songs, and then through a time of community prayer modeled after Luke 11:2-4. Pastor Todd then shares the message before a time of fellowship, and sometimes a shared a lunch.
